About VMetric Training
Delivered by TFD Global instructors, vastly experienced in their respective fields and who contribute to the development of ILS/IPS Methodology across the world, the training will give you the overview and tools required to understand the foundation of modeling and how VMetric can analyze product Life Cycle Costs.
The training is specifically related to TFD Software Products and is delivered from an independent and agnostic point of view.
The training will assist the user in understanding design and support strategies, development, and in-service phases of a system’s life cycle and how to ensure the support is cost-effective.
Intended for any personnel who are required to assess Life Cycle, Product Design, Asset/Inventory Management and Support costs within their business.
The Goal
The training provides the overview and user software tools required by VMetric customers on how the following outputs from the VMetric Software, within an applicable Support Program, can be extracted:
- Develop optimum spares scales to meet fleet availability targets or achieve contracted fill rates.
- Identify inadequate or expensive spares recommendations.
Explanation of VMetric
VMetric is The Pre-Eminent Inventory Optimisation Tool.
The business case for the acquisition or adjustment of your spares inventory should be able to demonstrate that the proposed range and distribution of parts minimizes the cost of achieving an operationally justified level of system performance.
VMetrics optimizing engine applies marginal analysis techniques to system-based models to optimize spares selection, by selecting the parts that most increase availability for least cost. By balancing cost and system performance for the entire system, VMetric delivers results that ensure ‘Happy Systems,’ as opposed to ‘Happy Shelves,’ where parts are modeled independently, and performance is limited to metrics such as ‘Off-the-Shelf’ and ‘Overall Satisfaction’ rates.
Leading the world in capability and flexibility, the VMetric optimizing engine models are unique in their abilities to deal with the complex interactions of multiple systems deployed at multiple operating locations. Operational availability targets can be global, system-specific, or location-specific, as well as a range of other options for measurement of performance effectiveness.
