Enterprise Asset Management Software for Defense and Critical Infrastructure
Twenty years keeping critical assets in service
From the Flight Line to the Plant Floor
Built by the reliability engineering team behind NAVAIR aircraft sustainment.
Andromeda Systems has supported U.S. Navy and Department of War sustainment since 2005, across programs including F-35, T-45, B-2, C-130 and V-22. OptiAM® is the software that came out of that work, built by the same reliability engineering team that still supports those programs.
It applies the same supportability and maintenance analysis techniques our engineers use on flight-critical assets. Maintenance is scheduled against each asset’s actual usage and operating environment, work in progress is visible in real time, role-based security maps to any command or organizational structure, and technicians record at the point of performance. The measure is operational readiness, not tickets closed.
Built to Defense and Reliability Standards
Here are just some of the unique features OptiAM® users enjoy:
Reduced implementation and training costs
Highly competitive licensing costs
Integrates with your existing applications and databases
Standards-based architecture: ISO-55000, SAE GEIA-STD-0007, SAE JA1011 and S Series ILS
Customizable interfaces and processes shorten training time
Mobile, RFID and predictive maintenance built into OptiAM GO
Simple and intuitive interface
Web-based architecture built for reliability and security
The OptiAM Platform
OptiAM is modular. Programs turn on what they need and add the rest later.
- Management Center: configurable dashboards for equipment status, work in progress and maintenance metrics.
- Asset Manager: the equipment registry. Serial number, location, warranty and vendor data, with QR and RFID identification.
- Hardware Builder: physical and functional hardware breakdowns for detailed supportability analysis.
- Live Library: connected and disconnected access to technical data, procedures and documentation.
- Task Developer: maintenance procedures, resource requirements, SOPs and automated checklists.
- Work Order Manager: work order execution with configurable multi-level sign-off workflows.
- Maintenance Optimizer: scheduling driven by individual asset usage and environment, with alert-triggered work orders.
- Inventory Manager: enterprise and site-level stock for serialized assets and bulk stores, with reorder points and purchase orders.

Where Else OptiAM Runs
Defense programs are where OptiAM started. The same platform now runs plants, utilities, fleets and facilities on the commercial side. Pick the one closest to your operation.
Manufacturing and Plants
Production lines, packaging, plant utilities and the floor assets that stop everything when they go down.
Energy and Utilities
Water and treatment plants, generation and distribution, substations and the truck fleets that service them.
Food and Beverage
Fillers, seamers, palletizers, CIP skids and refrigeration under SQF, BRC and FSSC audit pressure.
Mining and Aggregates
Crushers, conveyors, screens and haul fleets in the highest wear, highest downtime environment there is.
Facilities
Chillers, boilers, air handlers, fire systems and elevators across multi-site building portfolios.
Government and Public Works
Municipal fleets, treatment plants, roads equipment and public buildings on a public budget.
Schools and Higher Education
Campus buildings, HVAC, grounds and the service request queue across every building a district owns.
Landscaping
Crews, trailers, mowers and small engines tracked by run hours and by route, not by guesswork.
Breweries
HoptiAM, the brewing-specific build for brewhouse, cellar and packaging line equipment.
OptiAM GO Mobile
OptiAM GO puts work orders, technical data and electronic checklists on a technician’s phone or tablet, online or fully offline. Parts scan by optical code or RFID, results are captured at the point of performance, and everything syncs when the device reconnects. It runs on Apple, Android and Windows devices. Crews use it where connectivity and conditions work against them, from energy and utilities field work to washdown and sanitation windows in food and beverage plants.

Supportability Optimizer
The one-of-a-kind Supportability Optimizer provides advanced modeling and simulation capabilities to evaluate your support infrastructure and identify optimum support solutions.
Supportability Optimizer will help answer questions such as:
- How many spares should I stock and where should I keep them?
- Should I establish repair capabilities and if so, how much and where should I locate it?
- What is an optimum maintenance outsourcing strategy and what is the potential ROI?
- What is the optimum replacement strategy for an asset?
The Supportability Optimizer will allow you to more accurately predict the support cost components of Total Ownership Cost than ever before. Because it is integrated within the OptiAM® suite, developing and modeling support scenarios is much faster and easier than using other stand-alone modeling or cost analysis tools.
