Recognizing the development of its integrated data environment and suite of supportability tools for managing in-service fleets and high-value assets, Andromeda Systems Incorporated has been nominated for the Cool Tech Award to be presented December 11, 2009, at the 14thAnnual Abacus Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Abacus Awards is the annual technology awards program of the Florida Council of TechAmerica, a national organization formed through the merger of four associations representing the U.S. technology industry: American Electronics Association (AeA), the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA), the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) and the Government Electronics & Information Technology Association (GEIA). TechAmerica represents nearly 1,500 companies globally.
Designed to optimize the performance of large fleets – aircraft, ground and amphibious vehicles – the multi-disciplinary team of engineers, logistics, maintenance, and information technology professionals launched the “iSuMO™” software system in early 2009. iSuMO™ – Integrated Supportability Management and Optimization – is currently serving military program managers, state and local governments, and corporate fleet owners throughout America.
“iSuMo™ has proven to radically improve asset performance and reduce operating and maintenance costs through increased availability, improved reliability, and minimized downtime of equipment,” said Vice President Jon Leverette. “The system integrates data from multiple, disparate sources. Through a single, web-based interface, this data is transformed into actionable knowledge.”
Core analytical and decision support tools, including Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Maintenance Planning, Predictive Modeling and Simulation, and Maintenance Scheduling Optimization, integrate with a customer’s existing infrastructure and external systems. Analysis and data mining results, logistics planning information, and real-time location and health monitoring from onboard telematics are visualized through easy-to-use dashboards. The result is an unprecedented insight into the past, real-time knowledge of the present and predictability of future equipment performance.
“We are in the business of optimizing vehicle and asset performance supporting our warfighters on the front line and are now applying this same technology and know-how to increase commercial profitability, positively impacting a fleet owner’s bottom line,” Leverette said.
